We got home at about 5 p.m. and all is well! Josh has two large incisions/scars on his head, but they don't bother him. He is feeling well and happy to be home.
We came home to meals from Jill, Katherine, and Lollie and a refrigerator with juice and milk from Lollie. Robyn and I are so touched by your kindness. (As the cook in the house, I especially appreciate the home cooked meals!) We have been overwhelmed by everyone's support.
One of the simple pleasures of being home was being able to sit down together at a table with plates and utensils and glasses and have a meal. We have been eating take-out food on paper plates on our laps in a hospital room for three weeks.

Josh,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you and your family are home. I have been praying and hoping you would be recoving quickly. Ken and I have been worried about you. How is the hair? Is it growing back? Least of your worries. Hard not to be a hairdresser. We love you Josh, you are such a great guy. I know sleeping in your own bed will feel great. Just know we are also thinking of you. Hope to see you soon.
Sue and Ken

Looks like I chose the wrong month to be out of the city, for almost exactly the same time you all were down here and in need of home-cooked food. Hope I can provide a meal on one of your future visits -- like you, Jerry, I am the chief cook of our household. I am glad to read upon my return that the results so far seem to be positive. In the spirit of the healing prayer and other Hebrew references, I'll just say, mazel tov and hope the positive trend continues!
