Josh had his fifth IVIG treatment last week. Dr. Rubinstein said he would like us to wait four more months before deciding if the treatment is working or not. So far, it is not helping one bit. We will have some test results in a week or so that may shed some light on whether the IVIGs are having a positive affect on Josh's immune system.
Josh will be 17 in a couple of days. It has been four years since he was first diagnosed with Epilepsy. It would not be an overstatement to say Epilepsy has ravaged his life -- and ours. The past couple of months have been a disaster for him and us, in terms of his and our emotional well-being.
Josh is currently being home-schooled, as a result of his seizures and numerous problems in and with school. Our lives have been turned upside down.

Hi Jerry and Robyn. I have been following Josh's journey through your blog. I am so glad that you keep us all updated this way. My heart goes out to you all; so much to endure on the road to a better life for your son. Hang in there. Josh is a terrific kid, and you two are such wonderful and devoted parents. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Love, cousin Sharon (Oliveira)
