Josh was looking so much better last night after the "emergency surgery." He was up for more than an hour and talking. His slurred speech was better, but not totally gone, and his facial asymmetry was much improved.
His overnight was fairly uneventful. He was put on dilaudid as an IV pain reliever, but we think it is making him really sleepy this morning. He just had another CT-Scan to see how things are going and we will know the results in about an hour.

ReplyDeleteJerry, Robin and Becca,
ReplyDeleteWe just learned, thanks to Cathy, about Josh's medical odyssey and just want you to know we've added Josh to our family prayer list (Kevin) and my positive thoughts roster. We so hope he can feel the spiritual and mental embrace of Becca's other family -- and you too (surely this navy blue blanket of love, hope and prayers is ample enough to envelope you all) because ALL we parents can feel ourselves hovering with you emotionally in that hospital room willing Josh to a full and speedy recovery!
Beth & Kevin Callanan
Continuing to hold you all in the light and looking forward to each small improvement as it occurs. Shabbat Shalom - hope you are both able to get a little sleep as you go:-)
